IIT Systems. Real-World Inspection.
H2O Engineering is a Korea-based manufacturer of Instrumented Indentation Testing (IIT) systems. We design and produce advanced equipment for laboratory and on-site material evaluation across industrial applications.
We also provide independent material testing and inspection services, supporting in post-incident assessment, material and component acceptance testing, commissioning, and in-service evaluation. Our work covers both laboratory testing of client-supplied samples and on-site inspection of operational assets such as pipelines, turbines, and pressure vessels, with reporting that supports engineering, integrity, and maintenance decisions.
We develop and manufacture IIT equipment for industrial applications, led by the H-20 system.
We provide laboratory testing and on-site inspection as core business activities, independent of equipment supply.
Results are delivered through practical reporting that helps technical teams understand findings and next steps.
We support pipelines, pressure vessels, turbines, process systems, and engineering applications such as prototyping and product design.
IIT for Industrial Assets and Engineering Applications.
IIT systems are applied across both laboratory and field environments, enabling non-destructive material evaluation directly on samples and in-service assets. At H2O Engineering, IIT supports a wide range of engineering applications, including inspection of industrial assets, material and component validation, post-incident assessment, and development work such as prototyping and material characterization.
Portable and field-deployable
The H-20 system is designed for direct use in industrial environments where destructive sampling is impractical or not permitted. It enables non-destructive material property evaluation directly on in-service components. Compact and lightweight: 80 × 80 × 280 mm, 3.5 kg (net)
Measurement and Analysis in One System
High-precision sensing, real-time data acquisition, and PC-based analysis software are integrated into a single evaluation workflow, enabling consistent and reliable material property assessment. A dedicated mobile application enables remote operation during testing, allowing users to control the system directly in the field where access is limited or conditions are constrained.
Designed for Industrial Usability
USB-C and Wi-Fi connectivity, along with a robust system design, support reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. The system is built for consistent performance under real working conditions.
How clients work with H2O.
Clients either deploy IIT systems directly or engage H2O for testing, inspection, and reporting. In both cases, the objective is reliable non-destructive measurement to support inspection, maintenance, engineering development, and integrity decisions.
Define the asset or engineering application
We identify the component, material, operating context, or development objective, and determine whether testing is performed on-site or in the laboratory.
Measure using IIT
IIT is applied to evaluate tensile strength, yield strength, hardness, and residual stress through non-destructive measurement.
Deliver report and interpretation
Results are delivered with technical interpretation to support integrity review, maintenance planning, product development, or further engineering action.
Where the H-20 System is Applied
The H-20 system is applied across industrial and engineering environments where non-destructive material property evaluation is required. It supports in-service asset inspection, material and component validation, and engineering development applications.
Used for in-situ material property verification where operational assets must be assessed without destructive sampling.
Applied to equipment and structures where residual stress, welded areas, and asset condition assessment are critical.
Used for direct mechanical property evaluation during development, selection, verification, and validation.
